Description
Rodin’s most celebrated sculpture is rich in a variety of meanings. It symbolizes Rodin, his art, and indeed, intellectual activity itself. The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco’s extensive collection of works by Rodin was donated by Alma Spreckels along with the building which houses it, the California Palace of the Legion of Honor.
