Description

June 28, 1778 – The Battle of Monmouth

A battle that ended tactically inconclusive and strategically irrelevant is not without its enduring lore. Mary Ludwig Hayes is often attributed to the legend of Molly Pitcher for bringing the troops fresh water while fighting on a swelteringly humid late June day. Hayes is also credited with swabbing and loading cannon after her husband fell during battle.

While “Molly Pitcher” is likely an amalgam of more than one woman to appear on the battlefield that day, light this candle in remembrance of the women who helped fight for our freedom.

Scent profile – Refreshing and quenching citrus

• 8oz soy blend candle

• ~40 hours of burn time

• Amber glass jar
