An original design recognizes the Battle of Gettysburg where the Union armies defeated Confederate forces and significance and marked a critical turning point during the Civil War.

On the front, “The Battle of Gettysburg” and the dates, July 1- 3, 1863 printed on the left chest, and on the back, illustrations of the Gettysburg National Military Park, Little Round Top, and the Lutheran Theological Seminary, and a list where the battles took place in each day.
